Jan 23, 2012

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), on behalf of the Governments of the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the United States, and in cooperation with the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA), will be hosting a Public-Private Sector Dialogue on the CAFTA-DR Trade Facilitation Initiative on January 24th, 2012 at The Biltmore Hotel Coral Gables, Florida.

The event will promote an open and productive dialogue between public and private sector on trade facilitation issues so that economic actors in these countries can take fuller advantage of the trade agreement.

Frank Santeiro (FEDEX), Jose Acosta (UPS) and Maritza Castro (DHL) will be participating.

The meeting will serve as a platform for receiving inputs and views from the private sector on the challenges to the efficient flow of trade in the CAFTA-DR region and for exchanging views on priorities and best practices. Areas addressed will include: Customs and Trade Facilitation; Logistics and Supply Chains; and Technical Standards.
