DHL Announces New CEO for Latin America

Stephen Fenwick is chief executive officer of DHL Express Americas. He is responsible for the management of DHL Express business activities in 50 countries and territories in the Americas region, which includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Fenwick served as the Senior Vice President – Network Operations for Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa for DHL Express and was a member of DHL’s APEM Management Board. Working out of the regional headquarters in Singapore, Mr. Fenwick’s responsibilities included overseeing and developing DHL’s ground operations, import/export, customs and security related activities plus airport facilities planning and investments throughout the region.

Mr. Fenwick also previously served as the Senior Vice President for DHL Express South Asia and Indochina, where he played a critical role in the profitable growth of these countries, directing the day-to-day operations as well as ensuring investments made in these countries would guarantee they met DHL’s demanding global service and business standards.

During his three decades with DHL, Mr. Fenwick has gained a wealth of experience and expertise in various parts of the DHL worldwide network. While he was working within DHL’s Aviation group, he played a leading role in the development of DHL’s Central Asia Hub located in Hong Kong. He was also involved in the negotiations and implementation of the Singapore Hub. Mr. Fenwick managed the development of the Taiwan Gateway Group and the negotiations for the new DHL Taipei Airport facility.

His career with DHL commenced in the Middle Eastern countries of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt, before being assigned to the USA for two years as General Manager for DHL in New York. After his time in the USA, Mr. Fenwick moved to Europe where he held P/L and Operations responsibilities in DHL’s Benelux Area and European businesses.

Following his roles in Europe, Mr. Fenwick moved to Asia where he was General Manager for Indonesia before moving to Hong Kong to take his role with DHL’s Aviation group.

A native of Australia, Mr. Fenwick is married with two children.
