Fedex in talks to buy France’s TATEX

Published by Reuters FedEx Corp (FDX.N) said on Tuesday it is in talks to possibly buy French express company TATEX, less than two weeks after announcing plans to buy family-owned Polish shipping company Opek Sp. Z o.o., as it expands in Europe with small takeovers. FedEx, the world’s No. 2 package delivery company, has said it plans to grow organically and through small “tuck-in” purchases in Europe, where it expects a mild recession.

Mexico: Invertirá DHL 35 mdd en el país en nuevo centro de distribución

UPS Reaches Deal for TNT Express

United Parcel Service Inc. reached an agreement to acquire Dutch rival TNT Express NV in a $6.8 billion deal that cements UPS’s position as a leading package-shipping company in Europe. Under the terms of the deal announced Monday, UPS plans to pay €9.50 ($12.51) a share, or €5.16 billion, for TNT Express.
